Venue

The conference will be held at the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research, Polish Academy of Sciences in a charming, 1000-year-old city of Wrocław in Poland.

Accommodation

Wrocław offers accommodation in hotels of various standards and prices, so every participant can find a suitable place for their stay. The map below indicates a few hotels in the Old Town - the historic city center with numerous shopping and entertainment possibilities.

For the convenience of the participants a block of 18 rooms (single/double/twin) has been pre-booked for the event (between 8 and 14 July 2018) at the Wodnik Hotel, which is located at a walking distance from the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research. In order to book a room, please contact the hotel at the link provided and state the reservation is for IWDN2018. Please note, that the rooms will be available on a first-come first-served basis and remain pre-booked only till 3 June 2018.

For those, who will stay in the city center, no transportation will be provided by the organizers. The Institute is however easily reachable in 15 min by public transport (line 120 from "Galeria Dominikańska" to "Rakowiecka", direction "Trestno"), going every 60 min, or in 30 min on foot (see the map below). Paper single-ride tickets (3.40 PLN) can be purchased in vending machines at larger bus or tram stops (using cash or cards) and must be validated in the ticket validator just after getting on the vehicle (a new single-ride ticket is needed in the case of a change of a vehicle). It is also possible to purchase short-term (time-limited) tickets (e.g. for 72 or 168 hours), which must be validated only once.

Electronic (virtual) single-ride tickets can be purchased in mobile vending machines installed in vehicles (using cards only). Such tickets are registered in the system and ascribed to the card used.

Travel

Travelers landing at Wrocław Copernicus Airport can reach the city center by taxi or by shuttle bus "Wro Airport Express", which operates on the route Airport - Plac Dominikański (the city center) – Dworzec Wrocław (the main bus and railway station). A ticket costs 10 PLN (to be paid directly to the driver by cash or by card) and the journey takes about 30 minutes.

The city center can be reached also by municipal bus (line 106, single-ride ticket, direction "Dworcowa"). Its route ends up at the main railway station (bus stop "Dworcowa", see the map), close to one of the stops of line 120 going to the Institute.
